Black Cottage Wines

Looking to send someone a little something that’s sure to please? A bottle of their favourite Black Cottage wine is sure to do the trick!

Wine choices:

Sauvignon Blanc – with a pale straw colour and a complex aroma of Feijoa, elderflower, guava, currant, and wet stone. The palate is juicy with lime zest, while the mouthfeel is elegant, refined and focused.

Merlot – captivating aromas of violet, ripe raspberries, plums, and subtle star anise spices. It has a rich palate of dark berry fruits and smooth and juicy plush tannin texture. This has superb depth and roundness with a soft, focused finish.

Pinot Gris – delightfully dry and refreshing, with fragrant notes of nashi pear, red apple, mandarin, and white blossom. The juicy and fleshy palate is well-balanced by smoothness, a subtle hint of spice, and a delicate acidity that  lingers in the finish.

Pinot Noir (Malborough) – savory and earthy with bright red cherries, raspberries, and a hint of cinnamon spice. The juicy palate flows through to a fruit-driven core of crunchy red currants, dried cranberries, black olive, and suggestions of toasted coconut. A pinot noir with round tannins, good balance, and finesse.

Rosé – with a beautiful salmon colour. The aroma is a lovely combination of rose petals, red liquorice, fennel, and sea breeze. The palate has a delicate balance of red berries, watermelon, spice, and Provence herb flavours. The taste is refreshing and juicy, with a subtle savoury undertone and a perfectly balanced light acidity to finish.
